Update: Feb 8, 2024

Good morning,

I hope you are all doing well and class meetings on Tuesday were helpful.  I have uploaded a document on D2L with a list of the deliverables for the semester and due dates. You should be able to see the assignment submission links on D2L also for all nine deliverables. I am working on developing grading rubrics for Dr. Li, Chenyang, and me to use for your assignments and will post those as soon as they are finalized.

More details on the assignment due next week (Thursday at 11:59 PM) are provided on the submission link and the document mentioned above. There is a group submission and an individual submission.

The ENE (water/air quality) specialists asked to have a Google drive to share documents.  All of the nine ENE (water/air quality) specialists should have access through their MSU Google drive. If not, please let me know.  If the other specialists would also like to have a shared drive, just let me know and I will facilitate that.

Dr. Li, Chenyang, and I are going out to the site this afternoon.  There have been several questions about some of the smaller and isolated areas that are marked as restricted.  We will have answers to those questions after we visit the site.  I've posted a series of aerial photos from the BAE.  You should look at those as they show the change in drainage patterns after the development to the southwest of the site was constructed. They also show the area that was used as a construction site. Note that there is some contamination onsite. ENE specialists: make sure to check the industrial cleanup criteria as the contamination could pose an additional challenge to development.

I'm also working on a visit to the wastewater treatment plant, and hope to have some answers by this evening about the need for an IPP for truck washing.

Finally, please make sure to convey to your team that there is a 35' height restriction on buildings in Windsor Township.  If you're planning on anything higher than 35', you will need a variance.  I've posted relevant codes for ENE on the Google drive.

I'm sorry for the long email, but I hope the information is helpful.

All the best,

Dr. Masten
