The Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) is currently accepting applications for Scholarship program. The deadline to apply is March 1st.

EREF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that advances scientific research and creates educational pathways enabling innovation in sustainable materials management practices. To further our mission, we award scholarships to support the academic pursuits of exceptionally talented graduate students whose degrees focus on waste management and sustainability research.

Qualified applicants are graduate students (or will be next year) who are working on solid waste, materials management, or sustainability related research.

Scholarship awardees receive:
● Monthly stipend through graduation
● Support from EREF Staff
● Access to EREF’s network
● Potential to attend industry events & visit waste management facilities & company offices

2/13/2024 Fishbeck: From Jennifer Schultz, HR specialist: I’ll actually be attending the Civil and Environmental fair with Fishbeck on Thursday 6=8 pm this week. We still have some internship opportunities available in our Water/Wastewater, Civil Field, Mechanical, and Structural groups. (Note: she will not be at the environmental fair Thursday afternoon. Interested ENE students should attend the evening CE fair).

For students looking for full time opportunities in the spring, we are currently reviewing candidates for the following positions;

  • Civil Engineer (Municipal) – Grand Rapids or Lansing, MI
  • Civil/Environmental Engineer (Water Resources) – Grand Rapids, MI

2/13/2024 Applied Science, IncApplied Science Inc, in Southfield, MI is hiring for a CE/ENE engineer.  The posting is on HandShake and John will be at both the Environmental and Civil Engineering fairs this Thursday. Coursework or experience in hydraulics and modeling is advantageous.
